Dale N. Payne, MD, PhD, FACS, attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine In Columbus, OH, and received his medical degree in 1979. Then, he served his internship at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA (1979-1981), followed by his general surgery residency at the University of California Davis School of Medicine (1981-1984). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA (1984-1986). Dr. Payne received board certification in cardiothoracic surgery from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a BS degree in Biology (1971), Master of Science degree in Human Anatomy (1975), and PhD in Human Anatomy (1978) acquired at Ohio State University.
